“Come away feeling beyond relaxed...”

After four incredible days being looked after at the Finca, we have finally torn ourselves away and back to reality of Santiago city! All I can say is, that for us, this place is perfect in every way.

We went to Mendoza after spending some time in Chile with no real knowledge of what to expect there except the obvious sun and wine.

What we found after a seven hour journey across the beautiful Andes mountain range was a little gem. We were a little tired from the bus but from the moment our taxi pulled up outside Finca Adalgsia, all that fatigue disappeared.

Everything about this place has been considered and supplied to make it as comfortable as possible for the guests.

Our check in and subsequent tour of the grounds was informative and reassuring - taking in the rooms, vinyard and winery, not to mention the resident Harris Hawks (spotting these amazing birds by the pool became a small obsession for us over the next few days).

Our room in the old house was classic and modern, all at once, with a comfortable bed and an ample shower room.

The breakfast was delicious and we were greeted each morning by the staff - setting us up each day in just the right way!

One evening we were offered to join some of the other guests in a traditional Argentinan Asado - the food was incredible and the discussion, courtesy of the guests from three separate nations, was flowing.

After sitting in the stylishly designed winery, we got talking to another couple from the UK who mentioned that they were heading out for a horse riding tour, organised through the hotel. A last minute decision and a quick request to reception meant that we were able to join them that evening - another highlight on the already happy trip.

All I can say is, if you want time out in an environment where you feel comfortable, safe and looked after then this is the place for you.

Finally, a cliche I know, but Finca Adalgsia truly is a home from home and a stay that we will not be forgetting in a long while.
