What to do in Mendoza?
The wineries in Mendoza are in the main regions, Lujan, Maipu and The Uco Valley. There are lots of different ways to visit the local wineries. In general, all wineries require a reservation in advance. Several wineries have excellent restaurants which serve lunch - a superb way to complete a day of winery visits.

How to visit?

One option is visiting wineries in the area around the Finca by bicycle. We rent e-bikes (subject to availability) We can give you a map and point you in the right direction!

Another option is to drive yourself. Most rental cars are equipped with a satellite navigation system. Alternatively we can organise a car with a driver who will drive you around to the wineries you select. This way you won’t have to worry about getting lost or drinking and driving. For each of these options, you can choose how many and which wineries to visit. A final option is to go on an organised wine tour. You'll visit 3 or 4 wineries, chosen by the agency, in a small group (max 8 people). It’s a full day (from 9am to approx 5pm ) and is an all-inclusive package: transportation (pick up and drop off at the Finca), a guide, winery visits and tastings and lunch are all included.

A credit card may be required for bookings, the winery’s terms and conditions will apply.

Regions

There are basically two main wine regions - Alto Río Mendoza Valley (Maipu & Lujan) and the Valle de Uco or Uco Valley. Here at Finca Adalgisa, we're located in the Lujan area. East of Lujan, is Maipu. Approximately 100 km south is the Valle de Uco. In general, Lujan and Maipu are the more traditional wine regions with more history with great views of the Andes. In the Valle de Uco, wineries are generally newer and more modern. The views from the Valle de Uco, with the majestic Andes Mountains so close, are incredible. It's possible to visit both of these beautiful regions over two or three days.

Pricing

Wineries charge around USD10 to 30 per person per visit. A lunch in a winery costs around USD50/60 per person and you can usually choose a wine pairing at various price levels. Some wineries do not accept credit cards so we recommend you bring cash (US$) as well as your cards. A car plus a private driver cost around USD150/220 for the day. And aditionally, the option to go with a wine tour agency costs around USD180/300 per person
